The Girl

Who

Smiled Beads

is my memoir about the human side of war: what is forever destroyed, what can be repaired, the fragility and importance of memory. The book is my attempt to piece together the beauty and the loss of my own experience. I hope it will bring encouragement to myself and to the readers to remember the stories that shape our truth.
